Second cycle level course in statistics.
The course may be included in Master's degree in statistics. The course may also be taken as a single subject course or within other Master’s programmes at Lund University.
The course provides an introducation to statistical analysis of text. In today’s society, a huge amount of data is available as text. You will learn how text data can be transformed into numerical data using different approaches, various problems that one may face, and particularly a number of different techniques for solving the problems. You will study both methods based on classical approaches (including Bayesian models) and modern approaches such as deep learning.
