STAN42 Statistical Computing

Advanced course, prerequisites: Bachelor degree with at least 60 ECTS in statistics
A central theme of the course is algorithms and basic programming with emphasis on computer intensive problems in a statistical context as random number generation, permutation tests, modelling, simulation methods and bootstrap.
The course is designed as a series of lectures, exercises and laboratory work with reports. Grading is based on individual performance, via written assignments, oral presentation as well as group activities.
