Reading with other people, in a quiet and inspiring environment, is an effective way to boost your focus. Our reading retreat last for three hours, and start with a short planning session where we set goals for our reading and finish with a short summary and reflection. We take breaks together, have some coffee (and fika!) and talk about how things are going.
You bring your own literature and read texts of your own choice. The retreat is held in English, but you are welcome to read in whatever language you like.
The retreat is open to all PhD-students at LUSEM.
Workshops in Reference management tools
Reference management tools can help you manage your references. With a reference management tool you can create and organize your references and easily insert citations in your text and create bibliographies. These workshops will focus on EndNote, which is available for staff at Lund University through a campus license and Zotero which is a free, open source software. It is possible to attend both workshops.
Workshop 1. Get started with EndNote, beginner’s level
We will cover the basics in EndNote, such as how to create an EndNote library, create and import references and how to use EndNote together with Word.
Date: 24 March 10.00-11.00
Location: LUSEM Library
Workshop 2. Get started with Zotero, beginner’s level
We will cover the basics in Zotero, such as how to create a Zotero library, creating and importing references and how to use Zotero together with Word or Google Docs.
Date: 27 March 10.00-11.00

The workshops are open for all researchers and PhD-students at LUSEM.
