AI in education
The department has a policy on use of AI in education. The purpose is to provide guidelines for teaching staff at the Department of Informatics regarding examination in a time of easy access to AI-based tools. The policy provides guidelines on informing students about AI-based tools and on the use and integration of AI-based tools into teaching.

Teaching expertise is a requirement for appointment to a permanent teaching position at Lund University. Teaching expertise is based on a minimum of five weeks of training in teaching and learning in higher education (or equivalent qualifications).
Lund University School of Economics and Management is responsible for the training in teaching and learning in higher education. University-wide courses are provided by the Division for Higher Education Development. Courses that are faculty specific are provided by the faculties themselves, often in collaboration with the Division for Higher Education Development.
