Finding an internship on your own

To be able to get ECTS credits for an internship, you need both an internship and a place on an internship course. To be able to apply and be admitted to an internship course, you first need to have an internship. Follow these steps to secure an internship on your own:

  1. Find a qualified internship within your field of studies.
  2. Got an internship? Great! Don't forget to apply for an internship course. It is important that you take the time and read through the instructions for the internship course thoroughly – do not miss the application deadline! The process to secure an internship takes time, and there are a lot of people involved. Therefore, it is important that you apply in time and follow all directions from your department. The internship must be approved by the course director in order for you to receive academic credits for your internship.
