Tuition fees and payment
There are no tuition fees for citizens of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. Fees for full-time Bachelor's degree programmes are listed in the table below and cover the full year of study for non-EU/EEA citizens. Tuition fees are to be paid in SEK.
Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are generally required to pay application and tuition fees. There are some exceptions to this general rule. For the full list of exemptions, please refer to the official information from University Admissions in Sweden.
Tuition fees and residence permits
In general, all students from countries outside the EU/EEA need to have a residence permit to study in Sweden if they are planning on staying for more than three months. Students should not apply for a visa (which is generally only for shorter visits in the country), but for a residence permit for studies.
You need to apply for and receive your permit before you travel to Sweden. The permit must be valid and you need to bring it with you when you travel to Sweden.
