Coronavirus and library services
We have strengthened the LUSEM library’s digital services for students and researchers due to the coronavirus.
Updated 4 October 2021
From 4 October we have ordinary opening hours.
We are happy to help you via e-mail or telephone. You can also use the chat service "Chatta med biblioteket".
From 29 September until 1 November we will open up our study places in the library. Please, do not move tables and chairs!
- Log in with your student account to book a group room in the library
- Read more about our study places, computers and printing
As a student or researcher at Lund University, you have access to our electronic resources even when you are outside the campus network. Access via LUBsearch and log in with your student or LU account.
The library offers the same support as usual; help with information retreival, reference support, download talking books, research support and more. Please contact us to book a meeting.
Many publishers have made their publications freely available as a response effort due to the difficulties caused by coronavirus. You find information about open resources in the Swedish LibGuide 'LUBsearch & Elektroniska resurser':
The loan periods are the same as before. You can check your loans in LUBcat.
From 15 September 2021 we will again charge overdue fees for course books that are returned too late. We will also go back to the routine that loans are renewable five times, instead of eleven times as has been an interim measure during this period. Overdue fees were temporarily cancelled because of the pandemic.
If you have your health and are able, we expect you to return books. Books can be returned at all of the libraries at Lund University. The University Library (UB) has a book drop box outside on the west side of the building.
You can also return books by ordinary mail. You find our address here: Contact the library
