History of the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship
"Advancing entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs through knowledge"

In the beginning of the 21st century, Lund University began to invest in entrepreneurship and innovation. In 2001 Hans Landström was appointed professor in Entrepreneurship at the School of Economics and Management, and in 2003 the systematic work to build an educational structure within the field of entrepreneurship at the entire University began. The development work included an international Master’s programme, defined as a “cutting-edge study programme” by the Swedish Government in 2009.
In the spring of 2011 Sten K. Johnson made a donation of SEK 20 million to the entrepreneurship division at the School of Economics and Management. The donation enabled the establishment of the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship as an enduring arena for entrepreneurship education and research. In 2013, Sten K. Johnson invested another SEK 20 million in the Centre, to secure its future.
Today we have grown to around 25 collegues at the Centre. We are grateful for the continued support and generous donations by Sten K. Johnson's sons Anders and Kristian Bergstrand
